The system disconnector BA STBA 100 is a compact backflow prevention device according to DIN EN 1717, group B, with controlled separation (three-chamber system). It corresponds to the installation type BA defined therein and can therefore be used for protection up to and including fluid category 4. Its purpose is to prevent the back-siphonage or backflow of non-potable water into the public potable water network. The BA system disconnector covers a variety of application possibilities (e.g., printing plants, chemical and food processing companies, laboratory and medical technology).\nThe BA system disconnector complies with DIN EN 1717 and the components specified therein and is designed as a 3-chamber system with controllable inlet pressure, intermediate pressure, and outlet pressure zones. Additionally, it is equipped with an integrated strainer. Each pressure zone can be fitted with test valves (accessory 6625.15.902), allowing for a control of the backflow prevention devices through pressure measurement. The system disconnector consists of 2 series-connected non-return valves (NRVs) equipped with a vented intermediate zone. If no water is drawn, the inlet and outlet NRVs, as well as the drain valve, are closed. In the event of back-siphonage, the inlet pressure drops. The drain valve opens at the latest when the differential pressure between the inlet and intermediate pressure chambers has fallen to 0.14 bar.\n\nTechnical data:\n Operating pressure: max. 10 bar\n Operating temperature: max. 30 °C (inlet), max. 65 °C (outlet)\n Ambient temperature: 5 °C - 40 °C\n Installation position: any, if the drain funnel is facing downwards\n Medium: Potable water\n Flow rate: 1.8 m³/h at ?p 1.5 bar.\n Connection size: DN 15
