The SYR safety unit 25, DN 20 provides optimal protection against overpressure in closed potable water heaters (TWEs), in accordance with DIN 1988 and DIN 4753, Part 1. It meets the sound insulation requirements of DIN 4109 (Sound insulation in buildings) Class 1 and compactly contains all components required by DIN 1988 for equipping TWEs. The safety valve protects the downstream TWE, and the backflow preventer prevents the backflow of heated potable water. Additionally, a pressure reducer is installed upstream to regulate the required system pressure. The safety unit 25.2 consists of a pressure reducer, shut-off valves on the inlet and outlet sides, a backflow preventer with a test device, a pressure gauge connection, a diaphragm safety valve, and a discharge funnel. The easily replaceable diaphragm safety valve with a wear-resistant stainless steel seat can be rotated 360 degrees via a screw connection to adapt to different installation conditions.
