Notes on the disposal of batteries and accumulators As we sell batteries and accumulators, or devices that contain batteries and accumulators, we are obliged by the German Battery Act (BattG) to inform you of the following: The symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin on batteries or accumulators means that they must not be disposed of in household waste after use. If batteries or accumulators contain mercury, cadmium, or lead, you will find the respective chemical symbol (Hg, Cd, or Pb) below the symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin. Every user of batteries or accumulators is legally obliged to return old batteries and accumulators. You can do this free of charge at retail stores or another collection point near you. Addresses of suitable collection points near you can be obtained from your city or municipal administration. For batteries containing more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury, more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium, or more than 0.004 mass percent lead, the chemical symbols of the respective harmful substance are located below the wheeled bin symbol. The chemical symbols have the following meaning: Pb: battery contains lead Cd: battery contains cadmium Hg: battery contains mercury
