COMFORT System Separator STBA 200 for Hose Connection

The comfort system separator BA STBA 200 is a compact safety device according to DIN EN 1717, group B, with controlled separation (three-chamber system). It corresponds to the installation type BA defined therein and can therefore be used for protection up to and including fluid category 4. Its purpose is to prevent back-siphonage or backflow of non-potable water into the public drinking water network. The BA system separator is prepared for connection to a tap valve and covers a wide range of applications (e.g., chemical cleaning equipment, irrigation systems, high-pressure cleaners, construction and agriculture, potable water supply for non-permanent installations, non-potable water and fire-fighting water supply), as well as the filling of heating systems. The BA STBA 200 system separator includes all components specified in DIN EN 1717 and is designed as a 3-chamber system with controllable inlet, intermediate, and outlet pressure zones. Each pressure zone can be fitted with test valves, allowing control of the safety devices through pressure measurement. The system separator consists of 2 series-connected backflow preventers (RV), which are equipped with a ventilatable intermediate zone. If no water is drawn, the inlet and outlet RVs, as well as the drain valve, are closed. In case of back-siphonage, the inlet pressure drops. The drain valve opens at the latest when the differential pressure between the inlet and intermediate pressure chambers has dropped to 0.14 bar.
